Front Badge Opinions

So I want to pull my front badge to paint it. But would love some input. I was thinking of painting the back white to match the truck and the shield ring and the rams head black. Or the hole think black.
what do you guys think. Also if I paint the backing white the the head black, what do I do with the tailgate badge. I dont really want to spend the time prepping it for a two tone paint job.

you can pull the rear one, It has 2 holes for alignment, use the same method as debadging. and just get new 3m tape to put it back with. I believe it can be separated like the front. but dont quote me on that one.

The rear one cannot be separated. It's all one piece unfortunately.

I haven't done anything to the back yet, but thought about just ordering a solid black tailgate emblem off Ebay.

Okay. I took the front badge off to start prepping it for paint. But how the hell do I separate the two peaces without breaking something

I just black both of mine out but have thought about doing the color matched background thing. That back would be a PIA though as it is one piece. Can't help ya on how the front comes apart but it didn't look super complicated.

Got it . there are to clips that need to be freed under the back plate that hook behind the ram horn's. In hook them and it comes right out.

The back isn't that bad. Just take your time. The back wasn't cleared in this picture yet.

I ordered the badges from a truck with the Black Appearance Group. No screwing around painting them and it was only $80 for both from the dealer

Is that white one done a two piece from or the solid black painted.
