I'm sure A/Z has a good quality ceramic. That said, is there a problem with the brake system on your vehicle? I've got almost 18,000 on the oem and when I checked them a couple of weeks ago, looked like new.

What he said ^^^^

Unless you're two-footing it, you shouldn't need new brakes so soon....that's odd.

autozone = junk = all made in china

buy a set of Wagner thermo quiet ceramic pads (made in USA!)

Half agree, half disagree
The duralast gold pads are not bad.

But yes I run Wagner thermo quiets on all my vehicles

You need a 3rd set of brake pads in just 17,000 miles? There's something wrong there.

Autozones "CMAX's" are very good pads, and their warranty can't be beat, just keep the box's and receipt. However with any warranty they will blame your brake system over their product on premature wear. However on the internet, For the money CMAX's cost you can get better pads.. But generally speaking they are very good, if not the best you can get from a place like AZ, and the like..

I run Autozone Premium brakes on my 2007 Wrangler only because of the warrantee. JKs seem to eat rear pads (get about 20,000 miles a set) add to that the fact that I like to play in mud and that makes them wear faster. I have had the rears replaced twice and the fronts replace once for free.
They may not be the best but in my case it is worth it. They have never given me a hard time replacing them yet. We'll see what happen the next time, should be soon.

theres better pads out there for less or the same money as autozone wants for the c-max's. there not horrible but they felt a bit more spongy and give off a alot of dust. i personally wouldnt buy them again. duralast gold arent bad for the money though.
