I want to install front camera.
Is there a “spot” available where power is supplied at low speed?
A wire, or fuse I can tap?

I just ran mine to the battery for now, once I have everything working I’m going to move it to an ign circuit. don’t believe that there are any circuits that activate at “slow speed”.I want to install front camera.

So @Mpgrimm2 makes a harness that will plug in to the 8.4 harness on the back of the radio so you have an RCA to plug into, then you would just need 12v ign circuit and ground to power the cam. This will use the cargo cam input on the radio, after you enable it with alfa it will show up on the radio as “cargo cam”. Unfortunately I don’t think there is any way to make it automatic like the backup cam, you would have to hit the soft key on the radio to see the camera.I have 2017 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Quad Cab.
I bought an aftermarket cam to install on the front.
It came with small LCD monitor.
My truck has the OEM 8.4 display.
I am looking for a way to hook it up, so it will wotk nly at low speed ie. when parking.
There might be a harness for parking system that I could use.
My truch does not have factory parking sensors, but some times the harness could be there ready to plug it in.
Yes you can, should have info here.Cargo cam input. Thats the wayto go. ThanksCinzyCuda68.
The cam I got came with own harness. I guess it is just a matter of finding which wires are sending the picture and once installed - activate cargo cam via sales code.
Can I do that with AlfaOBD?
Cargo cam is not on the list verfied features.
I will post in that forum....
