Ok, I have been searching all of the interweb and this forum with no luck.
I have a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab with the Dana 44 front axle and 9.25" rear axle.
I am preparing to jump from 265/75R16 tires to 35" tires.

FYI, I do not want to swap to Dana 60 axles as I do not want the extra weight!

I am unimpressed with the brakes stopping ability now and know that the 35" tires are only going to make matters worse.

1. Has anyone come up with a way to dump the 11.6" front rotors for something in the 13" - 14" range with a 4 piston caliper and keep my 5 lug axles and wheels?
2. If not, will front 9.25" 2500 Gen 3 axle swap under my Gen 2? Is the width even close? Do I need to swap spring & shock mounts from my old axle?

Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
B Rad
