Front end body roll, side to side

2012 1500 2wd. 233K

I get rollside to side. New control arms, shocks, sway bar linkage in last 3000 miles.

Looked at sway bar and looked solid. No visible cracks and held tension when I replace the links.

The bushings on the bar have not been replaced. Can that be cause of the sway?

Wouldn't be my first suspect but certainly worth checking.

Is this a recent, relatively sudden development or was it more gradual? 233k could just be the bar getting soft over time.

Gradual. Did not look damaged on bushings.

Aside from putting it in a vise and torquing down on it with a pipe wrench to see how much it bends, but you would need a new one with you anyway to compare it to, I have no idea.

Other than the bushings there's not much left that I would think would cause it. Maybe try some bushings for cheap and if that doesn't work then that's about all it could be. New oem or hellwig might have stiffer front bars.

Have you inspected your truck's rear suspension bars (bushings)?

Tire pressure change would be something to look at. Just verify I guess.
