So I have two sounds coming from the front of my 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4. One is front when I go over a bump like the shocks are making the noise. I have moog upper control arms with grease fitting so I will try putting grease in it.

Also coming from my left front wheel is a constant sound. Either rubbing of metal on metal or rubber. It may be a wheel bearing.

I had no clue I had them on there until I changed my wheels. I don't know what the stock ones were like.

I just did my ball joints with moog and all is good but when I took it for an alignment the dumb people didn't tighten a bolt on the passengers upper a-arm when doing the camber adjustment so it was really loose and was making a bad noise when I hit bumps so that's one thing you could check

front hubs sound bad not good to drive on if its making noise easy check jack up truck and try to shake tire while off the ground if it moves or grinds its bad. could be pads worn down on brakes you should grease truck every 3000 miles and make sure if you take it some where they know how and where to find grease fittings.

I have a grease gun so I will check.

Can someone send me a picture of there upper control arm? I can't tell if my bolts are supposed to have that much space between.

What the uppercontrol arm looks like. I have some space between my upper control arm and the bolt. It may be loose. It is sitting right on the cotter pin.

A few years back when I had my '04 it was still under warranty when the dealer replaced the upper control arms 2x for a noise. Found out it was the rubber bump stop at the edge of the hood. They put some grease on that. End of noise. Glad it was under warranty!

Where is this bump stop? I looked and couldn't find it. So replaced my Hub today which was bad but I still have a constant sound when driving. Seems like a rubber piece. Maybe its my lower balls joints? Would that cause a constant sound while driving?

Check your rack and pinion mounts for the bump noise problem, and take your wheel off to check the brake dust shrouds. I have experienced so many different front end noises. All the ball joints, wheel hub, rack and pinion, and tie rods.

Its sounds like rubber rubbing. If that makes any sense. I know the other hub is good because there is no play or grinding. I can def hear the noise coming from the left side. The noise has also go away at higher speeds so it is not as bad but I can hear it around 30 mph.

Sorry, not sure what they are called. When you open the hood there is one on each front corner attached to the radiator support. Round and threaded. May be hard plastic. There is also a rubber square stop attached to the edge of each fender. Nothing to do with the suspension. I only heard the noise when going over an uneven surface or pushing down on the front end. The dealer thought it was the suspension but after they replaced the control arm twice and it still made the noise, they found it didn't make any noise when the hood was open. That's when they put grease on the "stops" I described and the noise was gone. If you hear the noise when driving on a level surface I would think this isn't what is wrong with yours. Sorry to lead you in the wrong direction.

It happens on flat ground. It sounds like something rubber. It is either lower ball joints or brake dust cover.
