Has anyone here changed their automatic front 4 x 4 hubs to the ones that need turned manually for the 4 wheel drive to engage? I was wondering if the fuel savings is worth it.

My buddy put them on his 2004.5 CTD, if I remember correctly, he said he increased 2mpg. when running the fronts unlocked

The 2013+Ram HDs already have a front axle disconnect.

My 76 big block PW was full-time 4WD. When I went to a part-time front axle w/ locking hubs, and a blocking kit in the transfer case, I went from 10 mpg to 15 mpg. Best move I ever made with that truck. I just wish I had done it a lot sooner.
