I need some advice about the fuel rail on my 99 5.9 Ram 4x4. The connecting hose between the rails burst. Is it ok to replace the hose or do I have to replace the complete rail?
I have read that its ok to replace as long as you use a high pressure hose with clamps
and I have also read that the hose is non replaceable and to replace the complete rail.

The part is discontinued so I would have to buy one from a junk yard, it would be as old as the one I 'm replacing and may not last long.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since the original hose didn't have clamps, should I put them on the new universal hose?
The original had a plastic inner tube (for lack of a better term) that looked like it had been heat shrunk to make a tight seal.
