Fuel sensor fail

so I have a 2014 Ram CC just bought the truck used with 67,5k miles on and maybe have put 3k miles and the engine light comes on and is giving me a code “fuel sensor fail” anyways my question is will traveling long distances with this code mess up the fuel pump? I’m making a five
Hour trip tomorrow and don’t know if I should take my truck ?

Same thing just started happening on my '14 4WD Express HEMI with 130K. shell out $600 or just use the trip meter for now like me until I win the lottery.
