Hey everyone I have a 2004 dodge ram with the 26 gallon tank. As we know the lock rings rust out and the tanks seem to be discontinued. So I’m wondering if a newer tank from the 4th gens fit or tanks from 2nd gens fit. I saw that kit that uses self tappers to hold a plate to hold the pump but my issue actually stems from a self tapper holding my lock ring in place so I’m not using that kit. Any suggestions on what I should do? I can’t find a tank anywhere that isn’t hole free. The junkyards love popping holes in the tanks that cannot be repaired.

I had the same problem trying to find a tank for my 04. Got a hole in it from hitting something on the freeway.

This post is a couple months old, but did you find a solution for your tank? I recently upgraded mine to a 60 gallon Titan tank. So far so good. They sent me a promo code after I had already purchased and installed the tank so I have no use for it. if you want it, its yours for the taking. The code is 'Titan15'. Free game
