The other night my 2020 Ram would no take gas as it continuously tripped the pump nozzle. Tried another pump but no difference. My guess is the vent or filler neck. Any suggestions before I take to dealer?

Lots of threads on this. It could be the filler neck, the vent, or the roll-over valve in the tank. Other than adjusting how the nozzle is inserted, there's nothing else for you to try. You'll want to work with your dealer and @RamCares on this.

Wifes last Pacifica did this."2019" As stated above you can try to reposition the nozzle, that usually worked for ours. I think it was something with the filler neck on ours.

So the one thing that has resolved this issue with Ram trucks is replacing the fuel tank ... I almost had mine replaced by the dealer a few weeks ago but some idiot screwed me over and I am tired of getting into it with both the dealership and so called RamCares reps lol ...

Buy the fuel tank and just do it yourself seriously ... then you don't have to worry about them messing something up and you having to dish money out of pocket ...

If you have a 2nd mode of transportation

Go to the dealership & explain what is happening
They will first change out the fuel neck & that will not do you any good, but that is what Ram Headquarters will tell them to do

Then you return & they will order a gas tank, some dealers will want you to leave the Ram, so that they can install the new tank as soon as it comes in

Its a warranty game they seem to be playing

Depends on the gas stations for me. First time I filled my truck I was like "WTF, this doesn't feel right". So yeah, it's a PITA but I'm able to lift the nozzle a bit for it to keep filling up. Fun to see they made a filler neck compatible with every gas nozzle. lol

Your truck should have come with a small filler neck extension so you can fill it with a Jerry can. Usually is stored with the Jack. Try inserting that in the filler neck, remove then try filling it. Most you can't get a gas pump nozzle in with the Jerry can assist in place.

I was looking for that extension myself on my truck, when I couldn't find it by the jack I asked the dealer why I didn't have one, their answer ? ... "only diesel trucks have those, they are used for adding DEF to the truck, so you don't need it" ... but I have seen gassers with them and I asked the guy what if I have to add gas with a jerry can, he says "jerry cans have the correct filler necks to add gas to your truck" ...

Seriously? lol ... customer service so far with Ram has been the worst

Worst is right. Show him your owners manual, it says right in it there should be one in the truck. Make him supply it, the truck came with one from the factory.

I am done with dealerships lol ... damn things are a few bucks .. and besides for some reason I can now fill up at gas stations without the pump clicking off every few seconds ...how did this happen I have no clue, but the last 20 times or so that I have filled up it's only clicked off 2 times that I can remember ..

I did clean out the evap canister though about 3 months ago, maybe that helped out?
