Can anybody explain the extra benefits to redoing exhaust with an entire cat back system, as opposed to just replacing the muffler with something that has more flow and sounds cooler?
I eventually will be installing shorty headers in this truck, if that changes anybody's advice.
I'm trying to weigh my options and I'm really on the fence. Might just be a matter of how much I want to spend, $150-250 for muffler vs. $700-1,200 for full cat back.
My truck is only 7 months old, and I'm having a tough time wondering whether it's worth it to replace all the pipes all the way to the cat and all, but I don't want to go and get a new muffler and then regret it and do the whole darn cat back thing in a year.
My ram has the dual exhaust that comes through the rear bumper.
