I happen to really like my Raceland cutout. And yes, I will agree their service department isn't the most helpful, they sent me a bunch of crap to try and just told me to send back whatever I didn't need to fix it. I contacted them about an issue with my cutout not working and I listed all the crap that I had tried to fix it. The guy said it would be hard to troubleshoot and considering all the things I had tried that they would just send me a new brain, wiring, and remote and that I had 2 weeks or whatever to return the stuff. I got my truck back after the lift and started messing with it and found I couldn't find anything wrong with it and it just started working again on it's own. I was about to send the stuff back today when it stopped working again this morning on the way to work. I emailed the guy and told him that the issue still wasn't resolved and he said thanks for letting him know and he would put in my file to give me more time with the stuff. That to me is nice of them to be understanding like that even though they are no help in troubleshooting it.
Well so onto my still current problem (same as before). My brain isn't getting power best I can tell. The cutout works fine with the new cord they sent. My brain works fine with the cord they sent. It's not the brain. I didn't have a fuse before; I added a 30 amp fuse and now I still get nothing. No click or nada with the brain, no trying on the cutout's part to open or close. It's hooked up direct to the battery through an inline fuse and grounded. Checked all the splices and connections. All are tight and secure.
So that's my experience with Raceland... and if anybody wants to take a crack at what I have going wrong please do.
