Fuse/Relay with bad socket?

F/R box has a dead fuse slot. First noticed drivers rear marker light was out. Changed it, still nothing. Checked the fuse, fuse was good. Checked the slot with test light, no juice there. Checked the pass. side and light lit up. I was able to run a jump wire from slot 15 to 14 to get it to work. Would this also affect the alarm and lock chirp? Ive tried countless times to use the key pad instructions to get it to work.
