Hey RF Chaps!

I figured it was time to be humiliated with the state of my truck.

Story Time! How I came to own this dirty blue ****.

A year ago, I got into a car wreck. I owned a 2012 Ford Fusion w/ 3.0L v6. Car was a champ, it was amazing. Well, I was taking left onto the Highway, a semi was taking a right to go past me. I decided to go after checking the right side, and when the semi had pulled into the right turn lane, I saw no vehicles behind him. Well, i was wrong. I went, and I got my tail end smacked by a Ford F-250. The only damage to their vehicle was a bent bumper into the front left tired. They were on the road again within a day. Didn't matter that they were going almost 20mph over the speed limit (60mph btw), I was crossing their lane, so it's automatically my fault. Had I been 2 - 3s behind, it would've been a t-bone at 80mph, and I wouldn't be here tellin' you about my stupidity.

Anyways, I decided I wanted a truck, I refused to own another Ford because it made my brother way too damn happy. I had always liked the look of Dodge, and felt they were a worthy investment. So I started looking around for a Dodge Ram 1500, I had wanted a 2500 HD or 3500 because of the horses / cattle situation, but for a used 2500 HD / 3500 with 200k+ miles, they still went for 30k+. So I bought my 2009 Dodge. I almost bought a 2004 or 2006 King Cab with full size bed but I felt like I was driving a limo. I test drove a Ram with the Eco Mode where it shuts off 2 pistons and saves gas when cruising. Anyways, I got this gorgeous blue truck below after a month of shopping around.

Below in post 2 is the list of things I want to do or fix.

Edit: Yes, my truck is SUPER dirty. That's after 2 days of driving, by the way. I washed it Sunday. My family lives in the country on dirt/gravel roads, and the entrance to my work is being worked on. I gave up on trying to keep it washed all the time, especially with the 500 miles I put on it every month from visiting family.

Here's a list of upgrades I plan on doing.
1. "Air bags" - As you can see in the picture below, my truck sags with an empty trailer. Add a horse or two, and I'm pretty much a low-rider.
2. New Tires - A fellow RF Member suggested a good set to get.
3. LED Headlight/Tail Light Conversion + Fog Lights
4. Front Left Fender and Rear Bumper
5. Audio Player + Speakers
6. Rear LED Bumper Lights
7. Hauling Mirrors - I have EZ Snap On ones right now. My first set was stolen while I was at a State Fair dropping off steer for a friends' son and daughter.
8. Interior Cosmetics (Vents are broken, most don't move or blow air in the right direction)
9. Canopy Electrical wiring + Lights
10. Heated Seats / Change Seats out.
11. Any engine work I can do.
12. Finish my custom mods for my truck. I'm working on some concealed carry holsters for handguns. I'm also looking into building some locker boxes for the bed, and a small toolbox for the back, that doesn't interfere with the canopy.

Well, my current goal is to make it nice and hand it off to my mom. She wants to purchase a Ford F-250, or equivalent and I see that as a huge waste of money. She keeps listening to my sisters boyfriend about trucks, and it's driving me insane. Currently, I can't haul more than 1 horse without having my **** sag too much. I pulled three recently, and it showed heavily, thankfully it wasn't for very far. Once I get the modified suspension I should be good to go for the trailer + 2 horses, 3 might be over the weight capacity. That's my first major upgrade, and new tires. Though, I'm not 100% sure which SES I need.
