Gas light on at 1/4 tank

Sooooo now that I got the truck back after the lifter repair my gas light comes on just under a 1/4 tank. Never did that before. Any idea if the two are linked or just some weird ass coincidence? Don’t want to bring it back to the dealership after the struggle last time at all!

Weird. I think it's triggered by 50 to empty? Are you getting crappy mpg?

Mine comes on a lot earlier than I would expect, not quite 1/4 of a tank though, maybe an 1/8th
