‘14 2500 CTD 4wd on stock tires it was always 22-24 highway at 65. Heading from Chicago to Florida, I refilled somewhere in Kentucky or Tennessee and had it show over 700 miles to empty. It’s 2 tanks to get me from Chicago to Fort Myers.

2017 Big Horn 4X4, Hemi with 3.92 and 32 gallon tank here. In warm weather months when I fill up usually shows about 525, maybe more. In cold weather months around 475. I have no issues getting 22mpg highway in anything but winter months running 70mph with the cruise on. Took a trip in Oct 2017 from Detroit to Dayton, then to Va Beach and then back to Detroit. A little over 1700 miles with some city driving thrown in. Averaged 21.7 and that is going over the hilly terrain of the Appalachians twice. Not a hypermiler here but I never drive faster than the posted limit and use cruise whenever I can.

My Longhorn EVIC is usually about 10% off. Around town, my EVIC will say 22-23 MPG but I am getting 19-20. Highway I get about 18MPG.

I am driving about 550 miles per tank but still cannot get 29 gallons into it.

I am going to start driving farther on "empty", maybe drive 600 miles and then stop for gas. I watched the video and have never have done the wait 30 seconds for settling trick. Will try that and then top off.

You all should use Fuelly - LINK

Nice to really know and to have a record going way back.

I'm getting Approx 600mi DTE on fill up and I've averaged 20mpg for 20k miles. Use the cruse control a lot and coast when coming to a redlight. Most of my driving is highway miles.

Pretty sure it's an "instantaneous range calculation" based on the immediate consumption at that instant.
That's why you can start out with one total range value but jumping on an interstate at 55mph you'll see the range magically increase. Showed that to the Mrs. and then while coasting down a long hill pointed out to her that the RAM HEMI is so efficient that under optimal conditions I get 99 mpg and am actual adding fuel to the tank thereby extending our range! (Thank God she doesn't have access to this forum or I'll be in TROUBLE!)

According to my build sheet mu RAM 1500 has the upgraded size gas tank, 32 gallons. When full my range is about 522 miles averaging 17-18 mpg.

Wondering what y’all are showing as a full tank range.

Thanks!

on my 26 gal tank full, my range will show between 474 and 494. Hit 500 once, don't remember where I had been but must have gotten really good gas mileage. Have a friend with a 32 gal tank his rarely shows about 500 miles in range, but he does a lot of back road driving, 25 - 35 mph, never gets out of 5th or 6th, big tires, etc....

522 seems to be a number I see when I fill up too. I've got a '19 Laramie 5.7l with 3.92 gears and a 33 gallon tank, and get 20 highway mpg at 70 mph on cruise control, and 15-16 mpg around town. All stock except for a tonneau cover. Yes I too coast up to red lights, a habit I picked up when driving a manual trans and I was happy to see that the 8 spd auto trans does coast very well. The estimated gas mileage on the screen is usually .5-.7 mpg optimistic compared to my actual calcs but some of that could be attributed to the variation in gas pump shut off settings. I have approximately 4 gallons left in the tank when my low fuel light comes on so they must have fixed that issue with the new Gen. Overall I'm pleased with the mpg for such a large gas engine truck.

At 6900 mi. I am getting 22 to 23 every fill, very consistent and about 1mpg less than readout. Most of my driving to town and back, about 45 round trip and 50/50 city/hwy. Will get my 1st oil change next week and dipstick reads full. No issues to this point.
