why wouldn’t a wheel from a Gen 3 1500 fit a gen 4 1500?
Same lug pattern. same lug size. The only info I can’t seem to nail down is offset.

Basically want to replace my 17” spare rim with a 20”. All the ones I can find are specified for 2002-2008 Rams, but I can’t figure out how they differ from the 2009-2018 wheels.

Here are the stock specs for the
2009-2018 factory 20" wheel...

Front: 20x9
Offset: +19mm (0.748")
Backspacing: 5.7"
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 5½ (5 x 139.7)

Rear: 20x9
Offset: +19mm (0.748")
Backspacing: 5.7"
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 5½ (5 x 139.7)

The bolt pattern is the same for 2002-2019 Ram 1500 5-lug trucks. (except 1500 MegaCab)

2020 will use the new 6x5½ bolt pattern.

Just keep an eye on load ratings of the wheel if you do towing close to max capacity.
