Just do it, and explain to her why...she trashed your truck, so now it's hers, and you have yours. If she don't like it, tell her to take better care of your stuff then.

My wife is not allowed to drive my RAM.
I never asked her if that makes her happy or not...It's my truck, she has a car.
I let her drive my '94 STS when we first got married, she made a mess of the interior and put a scratch on it.
She has never been allowed to drive one of my vehicles since...When her car goes in the shop, she gets a rental.

Even though my wife is a good driver and her car is spotless she knows stuff happens and my truck being damaged would be very upsetting to me regardless. In this case it sounds like your wife doesn't care how you feel or appreciate the value of your truck. The reasonable answer would be for her to respect your feelings and your truck but it sounds like that ship has sailed. That being said, if I myself were suffering in this relationship (sorry, that's the way your post comes through, my apologies if everything else is awesome) would go buy myself a new truck and not make the keys available to her period. Giving in to her to avoid conflict is the wrong kind of give and take, your giving in and her taking advantage.

Yep, some responses are TOO funny!!
Thank goodness my wife is intimidated by the truck!! Made her drive it twice, "just in case", but she's happy in her VW passat. I WILL say most times we're racking up miles on the truck over the passat because she likes being up higher, can see better, and likes the roominess!
