What do you guys think about the ported throttle bodies
And the lower crank pulley

My next mods will be a cam
But not sure on whichone xtp or hps?

And not sure if i should pull the trigger on the crank pulley, or the ported throttle body???

You have to remove the crank pulley to install the cam, so if that is a mod you are considering, i would plan to install that at the same time as the cam. And the HPS would be better suited for your mods and how you use the truck.

Before getting the pulley i want to know a little more about it whats the gains with it and also as for the throttle body as well whar are the gains for a couple of hundred bux??

What is the difference between hps and the other one on your site???

The pulley is going to make the truck more responsive and usually shows about an 8-12hp gain. The biggest benefit of the ATI pulley is the damper which keeps your crankshaft spinning true at higher rpms. With the bigger cam, you want to be shifting around 6300/6400rpm, and the ATI pulley will ensure that you don't have any vibration in your crankshaft at those higher rpm ranges.

With your other mods, the throttle body is good for 12-15hp/tq and about .1 in the 1/4.

And the HPS is a great Tq cam in the low-mid rpm ranges and will work perfect with your current gears and converter. The XTP really needs 4.56s and a more aggressive converter to see its full potential. I only recommend this cam to the guys that are at the track all the time and are willing to run a lot of gear and converter.

The ATI pulley was one of the few mods that I did and next drive could feel a difference in the truck. Highly recommend, and as Matt said, I would do both at the same time. Install sucks so just get it out of the way when you already have the crankshaft pulley off.

Any idea the ball park labor rate on cam installs for these trucks. I'm fairly handy on most things, I just don't want to risk screwing that up.

I know the cams run around a grand, figured the ATI would be good.

I don't race, I just love the way a cam
Sounds. Like some lope.

I have seen cam install quotes vary anywhere from $750 to $2000. The VVT cams dont have near as much lope or chop in the idle as the older non VVT setups though, so I wouldnt add a cam if that is the main reason behind it.

Sadly, I'm aware of that as well lol, they have more than stock and modified makes me happy. More performance is what the goal is, I just don't go to the track. Ugh money money money thanks

I like that we can have a cam and not be as noticeable.

I agree with kytow more performance is the goal.

Sadly money is always the problem!!!!!!!!
