Does anybody here live in the SW Florida area that has any suggestions on a good shop to install headers? I am looking at getting a pair since I have a leak and figured if I am going have the blots replaced might as well get headers also. After doing some research and pretty sure they are most likely snapped of or broke inside the head I don't have the tools to get them out and will need to take it to a shop. With that being said I will be doing either the BBK or JBA shorties with the stage 8 locking bolt kit. I was just wanting to know if anybody is in my area that has delt with a good shop.

Thanks

When it comes to headers you get what you paid for. I'd think twice on the bbk that's for sure. Unless you don't mind paying someone to do the same job twice in around 9 months.

There is a Ram truck forum called "Hemi Truck Club" that a lot of the members are from Fld. You might check there to see if someone could give you the name of a good shop. I also agree about the headers--although they are the most expensive headers I think ARH are the best quality and fit the best of any other headers. IMHO BBK are junk and JBA have had some fitment problems in the past.

+1 on Pull Ya. Arh are supposed to be the best fit for long tubes. But if you’re not going for performance I’d say jba shorties would be your best bet as you won’t have to get a tune for the truck. There’s also another club group called florida ram truck club with a division in the sw Florida area Tampa and the likes

Why long tubes? I understand we really don't get the performance gain, as much as low rpm shorties do.

I sure home the ARH's are all that... $3k for system. Seems steep.

IMO ARH or stainless works are the only way to go unless you are just buying shorties to avoid busted mani bolts. LT’s will put down some power where shorties don’t do anything but keep a small amount of low-end torque. I’ve heard great things about stainless works but ordered my ARH’s this week for less than $1700

you must have picked up just the front half only. I did look at the complete kit for $3k. I can see the fronts being 2/3 the cost. collector back is just bent tubing. Yes I really only want to get away from the manifold bolt breaking issue.

There is really no reason to replace the whole system for performance, just headers and Y pipe. Shorties will not help performance wise but LT’s will. I’ve seen claims of 25-30hp with with LT’s and a tune. I should have mine installed within a couple weeks

The shorties are as much of a pita or more to install than long tubes. You'll kick yourself later for not installing long tubes, I guarantee it. ARH is where its at.. got mine from exhaust. Com (vendor here) for 1500.
