I could't take the Goodyear SRA's any longer. They only had 30K miles on them but they really suck.

I mainly drive highway miles and even though I like the look of the Goodyear Duratracks or BFG KO2's I put Michelin LTX M/S2 tires on. I went with the higher load rated 275/65/20 tires.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Here in New Hampshire the frost heaves have been really bad this year. The Michelin tires really smooth out the road and cornering is vastly improved.

I had these tires on my 2007 Ram and forgot how enjoyable they are.

Good choice. I got rid of my Goodyears as soon as I could after I bought the truck. They would hydroplane when it was just cloudy, even before it rained--LOL--I got Michelin AT2's which I like a lot better but I lost about 2mpg.

I'm considering the same LTXs or Firestone Destinations in the same 65-series size. Any rubbing with the larger size tires? Do you still have the original Laramie flares installed and stock suspension?

2 mpg loss from AT2's? That sounds like quite a bit for those tires, unless they're a fair bit taller or wider. I lost less than that going from stock to my aggressive 305/55R20 MT tires.

Give or take...that's about right (the -2mpg)...

I went to 275/65/20 Open Country ATIIs and saw just about the same loss in MPG.

It's a big difference between those p-rated stockers in 275/60/20 vs a much beefier built, LT rated 275/65/20.

I have the flares and stock suspension and there is no rubbing. Perfect size tire to fill the wheel well.
