Yesterday I installed Bilstein 5100s at 2.8 up front with zone upper control arms. I also installed maxtrax 1.5in rear spacers with 5100 shocks.

When I bought my truck it had summit leveling spacers. I couldn't wait to change that setup though. And I'm glad I did.

These bilsteins ride so much better than the stock struts and spacers. It feels like a completely different truck. Thanks to everyone for the great advice.

I will be getting an alignment tomorrow and maybe new tires. Can't decide on wheels though.

Here are some pics. Oh, I put Carven tips on while I was at it too.

Oh and a shout-out to Nick at gotexhaust.com
He hooked me up with everything except the control arms. I couldn't be happier with his service!

Oh man that was a pain in the ass. I know some people here say the rear shock bolts suck. I didn't think it would be that bad, removing them was easy. But re-installing them sucked!

Then the driver's side front strut was all messed up. The center bolt that held it together was galled and seized. I ended up compressing the spring way more than I needed and cut the strut apart with a body saw. Driver's side took about an hour longer than the passenger side. Damn thing lol! My truck only has about 13k miles too! I put a lot of antiseize on the bolts when I reassembled. Hopefully this doesn't happen when I buy the 6in lift later on.

I totally agree! Nick is great! Had all of my parts in a few days. The zone arms took about 3 or 4 days longer than Nick did.

Truck looks great!!!! Those Zone UCA sure look beefy. I'm sure that the truck will ride a lot better with the Bilsteins also. Busy weekend--Good Job!

Factory size is on the truck now. I want to run 35x12.50s next. I am having a hard time choosing what wheel to run though. So many nice wheels out there!

Had the alignment done yesterday and got new tires today.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295-65r20s.

Couldn't be happier. They stick out exactly how far I wanted and they ride very nice. Extremely quiet.

I was pretty pissed when the kid at discount hammered a wheel weight onto the first rim though. Scratched the powder coating a bit. No biggie though!

Here are some pics. CV angles look great.

I'll be getting new rims once my bank account looks a bit better. You guys have me wanting too much stuff! Haha I can't help it.

Don't mind the jackstands, pulled the rear tires off to double check that the spacers and springs are seated and happy. Also checked my catchcanc.

It's a shame you have to re-check someone else's work after paying them to do it, but I guess piece of mind is important. Truck looks great.

Thanks guys! I really love how it turned out. Although I think a 1in rear spacer might have been better. I have the same rake as I had before. I'm going to put these spacers in my lathe and turn a half inch off of them this weekend.

Really no big deal. The kid hammered them on the inside of the wheel only. I'm guessing that's how they are trained. He was nice enough when I mentioned I want stick on weights and asked him to rebalance the first one. They probably didn't like me standing there staring at their every move either lol. I'm just glad those younger kids working on my tires had a great job, were working hard and had a great attitude. Kind of rare these days. I'll be going back there again for sure!

FYI, it took about 5 minutes for my tpms to reset. So if anyone hasn't had new tires put on be aware of that. They set the tires at 42psi cold. Probably a bit much. Haven't had a chance to drive the truck and use a temp gun to see what they tires like.

That set up looks great! Do you have any issues with rubbing at full lock?

No rubbing at all. I tried to get some rubbing but wasn't able to.

If you'd like some pics at full lock I'll take some. I bet they are pretty close to the fender or bumper.

Looks great with the 295’s
Thanks! I was really bummed discount wouldn't put 35x12.50s on these rims at first. But after seeing them, I love them. when I join the 8in lift club like you, I'll have to get some 37s anyways lol.

When I was going to do that same lift, I was looking at 295/65 too.
