Grille question

I have a 2013 express with the black honeycomb inserts and am looking into swapping to horizontal bar inserts plasti dipped black.

I know they changed the grille on the 13's slightly, but has anyone tried to fit inserts from a 2009-12 model on a 2013?

Only reason I'm wondering because OEM ones are about $185 and I can find used sets from previous years for much less.

I haven't paid much attention to the 1500s, but I know the 2500/3500 grills are totally different 2012 to 2013. Sorry. I can't help yet, but I will check it out this week.

Thanks, have a chance to pick up a grille from a 12 and just want to see if there is a way I could make it work.

The grills are a different shape. That will not be a direct swap for sure. You may have luck modifying it.
