Im looking to eliminate the bulb all together and use an amber halo as my turn signal maybe 1 bigger 1 smaller on each side anyway wondering if I can do this or if I should just black out the turn bulbs if that is generally better

I actually tried to use 2 different sized amber halos a bit ago. Was not impressed at all. Not only was getting them to work properly frustrating and time consuming, but had to create a custom mount for them. Stupid lights started to leak so I ended up removing them from my truck and installing some others until I can save up enough greenbacks to get JJ at Retro Shop to rebuild a set of lights I currently have. The original topic with my failed build: http://www.ramforum.com/f48/new_headlights-38419/

The lights leaked real bad and been putting new ones off atm.

Where did the headlights leak? Around the lens or the projector? I like the end result of yours I probably would go with 1 amber halo and 1 white though :) also could I make the halo act as the turn signal buy just taping the power to a regular bulb that I blacked out?

Ok I believe they leaked around the lens. Not real sure though. In order to get the halo's to properly flash you will need to get a specific harness. Well actually it is a small wire with what I think is a resistor in it. AAC Style has them here: Dual Intensity Circuits

This allows you to completely remove the normal bulb (I personally left mine in to avoid any bulb out problems). It lets the Halo act like a corner light and the turn signal at the same time. Not sure if JJ from Retro Shop ahs the amber halos I used but here is where I got them: Morimoto XB LED Angel Eyes - Accessories from The Retrofit Source Inc

They have a lot of the parts that I used and only had to go elsewhere for a few things. The projectors and HiD kits I got from JJ at Retro Shop (still have them just have not done anything with them).

If you do the work yourself be careful when pulling the lights apart. Also read what JJ said in my original post to avoid any problems. I am still trying to get the adaptors created (the damn threading on the projectors is funny), so if I ever get them right I will let everyone know. Now before you go nuts on your headlights I recommend getting a new pair. Use the new pair (or a junkyard pair) to work on leaving the original headlights alone. That way if you mess the light housings up you still have the originals to use. If you need anymore info read my build, and just gimme a hallor, I will answer all questions if I can, or direct you to someone that can answer.
