MX4 also is matte finish with UV protection against fading. Did a lot of research before purchasing.

I do get a little around the tailgate during heavy rain, but I am pretty sure it is getting in around the tailgate to truck body, not around the cover. I need to get a seal for the side of the tailgate where the gate and body meet, there is a pretty big gap there.

I do get a little around the tailgate during heavy rain, but I am pretty sure it is getting in around the tailgate to truck body, not around the cover. I need to get a seal for the side of the tailgate where the gate and body meet, there is a pretty big gap there.

After about a year or two hard use, my BakFlip leaked like a sieve at the hinges with just a little rain. I had to use tarps under it to keep things dry. You will see many reports of this. The BakFlip has many nifty features but water tight over time is not one of them.

I've been using the MOPAR folding cover for a couple years and its been completely dry driving through monsoons, hurricanes, and car washes. That being said, there is not a hard cover made that is guaranteed to be completely dry.
