I had this issue on my 2013 and it was the connector crash68 mentioned. Pull it apart, I used a contact cleaning product (CRC QD Contact Cleaner), then dielectric grease to protect the contacts, and never had the issue again.Check the plug on the bottom of the tailgate, also you may need to pull the tailgate access panel off and check the plug on the camera itself
