Has anyone replaced the water inlet tube on their water pump?

Yup....it was that easy to replace it. One bolt that's easy to get to, then just kinda twist and pull out the old tube. The Dorman part fit perfectly.
AWESOME!!! i ordered the dorman tube along with a mopar thermostat housing and some mopar replacement clamps.. all are heavily scaled with rust and i dont want any issues on my upcoming trip down south.. these NJ winters sure are rough on those parts..

Cool....I'm sure you'll be happy with the Dorman part. I'm super picky and I thought it was a perfect replacement. I'm sure it took me longer to drain some coolant from the petcock valve at the bottom of the radiator than to swap the part. I should have bought a few new clamps too. You're right, these NJ winters do a number under our trucks!

for draining i use a 4' x 5/16" hose and just syphon it out of the radiator .. drains quick and no mess with the petcock...

Looks like the salt on the roads in NJ corroded the tube on my water pump and it now has a small dripping leak. Initially, I was thinking I would have to replace the water pump, but after looking into it...looks like I can just replace the tube itself. Has anyone replaced this? Did you use an OEM part? I see some made by Dorman that appear to be pretty good. Here's a pic of the tube I need to replace:

From what I can tell, it's just inserted into the pump and has an o-ring to seal it?

Thanks!
Hey there , Im in the same damn spot right now especially after all this NJ bi polar weather. I wanted to ask your procedure or what youtube video you watched to replace the bypass tube. It is just draining the radiator and un doing the bolt holding the tube and taking it out?

I just ordered mines and it comes Sunday. I plan on getting the proper things tomorrow such as coolant and red sealant or teflon. Anything else you recommend getting?

I appreciate the information you gave.
