Because spacers push down the lower control arm to achieve lift
When you go more the 2.5" it causes a severe angle for the upper ball joint as wall as for the front axle shafts
This angle will cause a vibration in the CV joints at low speeds when using 4wd and premature wear to front end parts

This is a problem on any IFS 4x4 truck really

Plus you are not really leveling....rather just lifting your rake up

I'd do some Bilsteins up front and set them to either 2.1 or 2.8 and you'll have a somewhat level to leveled truck.
If you need pricing on those, I'd be glad to extend RF member pricing to you :)

Ok, what would I be looking at for a set of Bilstiens for my truck? And other then them what else would I need to get a higher and level truck?

I was thinking about doing a 2 inch level just to put some bigger tires in there. Is that going to casue an issue...i.e. CV joints, upper ball joint andfront axle shafts?

PM on its way :D
All you really need to level is the Bilsteins or some sort of leveling kit
If you want to go higher, you can add a body lift or a suspension lift kit

It will change the CV's but you will still be ok

Ok! So.... I received this supposedly 3.5" front and 2" rear, "so called" leveling kit in the mail today. Open it up and the spacers measure almost 2" thick? Call tech support to ask why it's not 3.5", and they say that the 3.5" is the measurement you gain from ground to bumper, NOT the spacer thickness. So why are there 2" blocks for the rear that they sent that actually measurer 2"....?

Geometry of the suspension will give you that much lift with
Its gonna be a ***** to get that large of a spacer in there and then wreck your front end once you do

The only thing is it's not a 3.5" spacer. It's only 1 7/8" spacer?
