Under the right rear passenger seat. IIRC it’s a 10” enclosed sub.

I have the 40/20/40 seating. When I get home today, I’ll lift it up and see where it is. I know I have one as this is one “ bass “ heavy system. I’ll definitely need a dsp to smooth this puppy out.

My '16 has the Alpine system, for a factory system I think it sounds great, especially for being in a truck. My last two trucks were Chevy's ('15 Silverado and a '05 Avalanche). I did speaker swaps, added sub, amp, etc. Factory Alpine in the '16 sounds just fine comparably. Haven't heard the HL system, but I would think if it's bass heavy, it's that way to meet consumer demand for bass heavy systems. My thought would be maybe the demographic sampling group was a narrower range that wanted the in your face bass. Only way to know for sure what's going on would be to measure the sound levels with an audio frequency meter. I would think the system is tuned to produce dead flat sound from the factory.

cant you just do it my feeling where the thump is coming from? or is that well integrated you cant really tell ?

The bass seems to be coming from the front, but I can install a sub in the rear of a vehicle and with processing make it seem like it’s mounted up front.

the sub is now behind the rear seat. as far as I know its 8 inch for the alpine and 10 inch for the harmon system

Man if I was to guess I would say the center consol. I have a hard time believing the Alpine sub is smaller. It actually seems to kick harder and more accurately. It is why I chose the Alpine system, it would of been easier to get the HK.

I don’t have a center console per se as I have the 40/20/40 front seats. I do have the feeling there is a sub mounted under the front seating. The reason I say this is I have my rear seats up and am not seeing an area where a sub would go.

Since it’s sooo new even the dealerships are confused by it lol. I’m not really ready to make an idiot move right now, so finding it is not a priority. Plus until my daughter starts driving her own vehicle, I can’t get near the radio anyways.

You must have a 2019 model with that flat rear floor so disregard my original comment. I believe in the 2019’s it’s now behind the rear seats as they used some of the additional 4” of length on the CC models to free up space under the rear seats. That said, this is all from memory based on what I’ve read so take it with a grain of salt LOL.
