What is your goal with your truck? That would give everyone a better idea and help give you feedback.

Your list is pretty good but ditch the TB spacer. I havent heard much about those heads do you have details? Where are you located also? Welcome to the forum by the way we have a few trucks with motor work done. I have pulled mine apart from top to bottom once and swapped cams twice.

Make sure you have all your gaskets ready to go along with new head bolts (they get over tightened when you install them to "stretch the bolt" so they have to be replaced every time), make sure you have a revised tune for the heads, check the springs on the heads (what kind are they) some brands have been known to fail, ditch the tb spacer.

And Welcome to the forum, good to see another reg. cab short bed on here.

Intake Volume: 180cc
Exhaust Volume: 57cc
Intake Valve: 2.02"
Exhaust Valve: 1.575"

they went down a bit since last time i looked at them. i had stock valve springs break and messed up my heads so it was either get aftermarket heads now or have stock heads machined... i was planing on getting heads just kinda bad timing with money but oh well

How fast do you wanna get? The 35's and 6 inch lift is gonna keep you on the 1/4 mile. not much pavement turning imo. Thats still an impressive ride you got there.

the cam will be the biggest part that will either make or break your build, talk to an experienced cam designer, they can grind a cam to match your heads perfectly. i have a custom cam from a guy who grinds his own cams from a single billet core (not to mention his build-info sheet is literally 3 pages long) in my strip car, by FAR the best $350 i've EVER spent.)

i think im going to have to go with a different cam cuz after shardon heads its not liking them... we have pulled 60% fuel out of the tune and still running rich. i havent seen anyone with the 268 comp and heads yet. everyone has a different cam. anyone heard of the spartn cam?

Chef is running a Spartan, I had a 6.1 reground to Spartan specs and im now running a Crazy Startan on a 112LSA. Its odd your 268 is having an issue with those heads. Sam on here ran a comp 268 for awhile but he was running Inertias BV heads. If you do pull that cam it wont set around long before ya sell it.
