I made a deal with myself & gf last year that my LT header purchase would be solely funded by incentives from work. Good plan & really close to it, but recently I've been really contemplating a whipple. I understand that a SC benefits from a larger collector size, but I really want headers now. If I get 1 3/4 headers, about how much will I be missing out on with the potential SC? If I get 1 7/8, how much power will I miss out on until this possible SC? I really don't wanna have to buy them twice & don't know which way to go.

How soon do you plan to SC after header install?

Honestly it won’t make a huge difference. You will loose very little tq down low probably not even noticeable with the 1 7/8. Personally if the SC is definitely going to happen build towards that. The bigger primaries will complement the SC nicely

Let me know when your ready for headers. We run killer deals on them with the discounts we offer to the members here. For long tubes we suggest Stainless Works or Kooks

If it does happen, a SC would be absolute no sooner than summer. But I think a year away is more realistic. I understand one will compliment the other, but I'm getting antsy for noise & more power now. Just trying to get a game plan going.
