I have a 2013 1500 Hemi and absolutely love it. I was going to put in a more aggressive camshaft, but reading here you guys are saying do headers first.

I am looking to purchase the JBA Stainless Longtube headers from Moes with the MBRP XP Series dual catback exhaust to change my single exhaust to a dual exhaust.

My question is: What about the Y pipe to combine the two together? I'm looking to keep my cats because I've been pulled over twice now for a tinted license plate cover so I don't want to push my luck with having no cats. Am I able to keep my stock cats? Will there be a noticeable power loss? Or should I just go a completely different route?

Any help is appreciated!

I have a set of JBA Longtubes with there off road Ypipe installing it next week. It's illegal to run with out cats were I'm from to. I doubt a Cop would know if you didn't have cats and they would have to prove it! I just take the chance and go cat delete. Just my 2€

If you are worried about visual inspection of your exhaust then use short tube headers. You can't use your stock converters behind long tubes unless you can do all the welding yourself because a muffler shop won't touch a job like that with a 10 foot pole.

Just put a high flow cat down the line if you are worried.

This also just depends on where you live. In Texas, it is very easy to find a shop that will make a new Y-pipe for you using your stock cats. Otherwise, I would just put a single high flow cat on the back of the JBA Y-pipe, and just use a tuner to disable the engine code you would get from only using 1 set of o2 sensors. This can be taken care of for you in the Hemifever custom tuning that we include with the Diablo tuners.

I would recommend doing a lot of things first before upgrading the bumpstick.
