Hey y'all. Put new halogens in. My question: are the lower headlight assembly bolts self adjusting or do I need to adjust the bases that the bolts screw into???

You adjust the headlights through the hole opening in the fender with the hood up.

The 10mm bolts you see are just to mount the headlight to the truck.

I’ll add that it’s a 7mm inside the fender for adjusting and you’ll need an extension.

I adjusted the one inside the fender, doesn't do a thing. I turned it for a minute straight one way and it didn't move the light beam at all.

The bottom 10mm bolts both came out one with the bottom part of what I would call an automatic adjuster and one without it as it stayed in the bolt hole. When I screw the bolts back in the bottom portion turns upward as the bolt screws in. Doesn’t this position the entire assembly upwards?

I am also wondering about this. I noticed when removing my headlights that the lower bolt mount has adjustment if screwed in or out.

I realize this is late for the OP but for anybody else needing to adjust their projector headlights it's the first hole on the fender with arrow . Turn to the right to lower the headlight, turn to the left to raise. 7mm with extension. This is how it worked on mine....

And for others that may read this, the 7mm adjuster is on OEM headlights, some aftermarket lights do not have these adjusters.
