Is it possible to adjust the headlights up or down? Is there a screw to turn in or out?

You use a 7mm socket on an extension or Phillips screwdriver through a hole in the top of the fender.

Yes, there are holes on the top of fender under the hood(1 on each side with an arrow) that there is an adjustment screw. I believe an 8mm socket or there is a torx opening on top of screw

Yes. ^^^^^^^
And make sure your socket fits the extension tight or you're going socket fishing with a magnet.
The "L" and "R" do not stand for Left & Right. They indicate Lower & Raise

O’Reillys Auto Parts (others too) sell a T20 extended torx driver for headlight adjustment. No bits or sockets to loose. Also shine a light in there to see the screw. Makes it easier to engage.

That Torx screwdriver is great idea. I did it with 1/4" drive ratchet, extension and a T20? bit. Problem was, I had to tap it in with a small hammer to get it to bite. Well, guess what didn't come out when I was done adjusting? If you said the T20 bit, you win! Stuck good. With the hole being so small, couldn't move the extension side to side. Going the other way changed my adjustment but little else. The good news is, I know where it is if I have to change it again. That's why I have 2 of everything!
