2016 Ram with quad headlights. Early this week it was really foggy (not sure if it exacerbated me noticing the issue) and I was reverse parking at work early in the morning. It was dark and I was the only person in the lot. I reversed into the spot and as I turned the wheel to straighten out, I noticed the headlights dimming. Stationary, I turned the steering wheel in both directions and watched in the window, my headlights dimming. I took the truck to the dealer for wheel bearing noise later that day so I informed the SA about the headlights. When I picked the truck up yesterday, I was told by the tech that the headlight dimming is normal. He stated he checked two other 4th gens that were in the shop and said they did the same thing. Has anyone experienced this? Can we chalk this issue up to just a normal Ram thing? I hadn't really noticed the lights dimming before.

When you are not moving and you turn steering wheel the electric rack will have a high draw and with truck at idle the alternator is at low output so voltage drop and lights dimming

That's what I figured. Odd I never noticed it. It was exceptionally dark that morning and the fog augmented the light distortion, making it easier to notice. Thanks for the feedback.

The tech did mention that the electric power steering draws a lot of power and that it would cause the lights to dim. It's crazy I never noticed it.
