All kinds of threads about this. For a quick change, find some H9 bulbs to replace the low beams. You have to trim a small plastic piece on the bulb, but is supposed to be easy to do. They are reported to be much brighter than stock.

H9 - low beams
9011 - high beams
9012 - fogs

Otherwise, you'll have to go with HIDS. Some say they are easy to install, some have issues. Also, the newer trucks can get finicky with the HIDS too. But, I can't remember if it's '13+ or the '14's & 15's only.

Hit up Jeremy at Retroshop to get some HID'S! Go canbus adaptors, it's so easy. Literally plug and play!

I had some ballasts that gave me trouble so one night I had 1 low beam working. That 1 low beam light was brighter than 2 stock lights!

If you do have any issues Jeremy is quick to help you fix them. Definitely worth the money!

to go with that do they even need resistors? i have done some reading and same say you dont need them but have talked to a performance shop and they said i need the hid kit plus 2 resistors and a harness. Also wondering if just simply putting in piaa halogen bulbs would be good enough, any help here is appreciated
