Hello, i’ve been a member for a while but haven’t been online. Having internet problems and I’ve been undergoing surgeries due to a work related incident and fighting workers comp without success so far. Still have 2 more to go. I had a 2016 Ram Express single cab with the 5.7 Hemi. I lost it due to financial issues. Hoping to get another Ram as soon as everything is settled. This is a great site and i’ve Missed being on it. Lots of great people here.

Damn. Sorry to hear, man. I feel for you. was laid off in 2012 and screwed out of 3/4 of my pension and had to live very lean for 5 years while trying to find work again in my 50s after 30 yrs in a specialized industry that's going down the tubes fast so no opportunities were there. best decision i made in 2012 when i had to return my lease through my job was to buy a 2003 tacoma with 40,000 miles. that truck went through hell (major black ice accident, 90% hail damage, a tour bus catching a corner of it, and another tacoma backing into me at an intersection) fast forward to february 2019, the taco needed way too much work, had way too much mileage and was worth way too little from accumulation of it's mishaps to keep. And I always hearted me a new Ram after having a 2004 4x4 Ram for a very brief period of time. I liked the looks, the bigness (i'm a fairly big guy) and got a job I really enjoy in 2017 so I felt good about getting into a monthly loan. no regrets. Love the beast and happy to be here too. i hope everything works out and you get your Ram at the end of the rainbow!

Thank you, My Doctor told me I could never work again so talked me into filing disability. Still waiting for that decision. Had 3 discs fused in my cervical spine. Have to have 2 more on my lower back. I loved my 16 Ram. Very comfortable and I couldn’t believe the gas mileage with the Hemi.

Wow.i got a job I iked in 2016 working for the red cross. repairing a variety of equipment (wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, etc) which was right up my alley and I liked the cause. And I could do it sitting down as I have had back issues too from falling off a stage in 1993. the downside of the job was on the alternate weeks I had to be on my feet all day cleaning equipment. I got an annoying mid back pain which I had on and off for years but it was getting worse the more I was standing in one place, working on my feet. got to the point I couldn't stand and do the cleaning job more than 2 hours a day. Went to my dr and he said let's do xrays. they come back, he calls me in and says did you ever injure your back? i said i fell off a stage in 93, tore my lower right back muscle. he said, actually, you broke 3 vertebrae too. So the tissue and nerves in the spine were getting irritated from the fractured vertebrae which do't heal smooth according to him. rough edges and new bone growth. i said so what do I do? He says, stop doing work that irritates it. Armed with that info, I ended up pursuing a delivery job which gets me on my feet enough to give me daily exercise but not so much that I can't stand it. We do what we have to do, right? I had tried to get disability as the work I was doing had brought my condition on, but I had only been there for a year so they weren't giving me a thing.

i am pleasantly surprised with my 18 Ram mileage with the Hemi. With my 2004 ram with the 4.7 litre engine, I don't think I got better than 13 mpg (canadian) i'm getting 18mpg average with the hemi. I have the stock tires and rims on it. the 2004 was lifted by 4 inches, had wide and 35 nitto terra grapplers on it and aftermarket mickey thompson wheels. I think those 3 factors made a substantial weigh and aerodynamics difference affecting my mileage. so yeah, I'm happy!
