I had a shop put in my belltech drop and hellwig sway. I peeked under and noticed the ends of the sway has two bolt holes? Can someone tell me the difference? Mine is bolted on the inside and not the last one.

Also, anyone have problems with shock mount bolt on back shocks? Ive had to go back twice now bc they are coming a loose and theyre saying they are having problems getting to them.

The Hellwig bar should have 3 holes.
This allows you to adjust the effectiveness of the bar.

With a drop kit, you will see benefit from having proper length end links so the bar sits parallel to the ground. This is the 'most effective' position for the sway bar.

Thanks. Im guessing they used the middle hole for the middle setting. Is there a lot of difference in the three selections?

Crows foot and they won't have troubles getting to that top bolt.

Etroze ... they didnt have one initially. Told me it was good and I left to find out both worked themselves very loose. Now I have been back twice since theyve used the crowsfoot and the back passenger side keeps coming loose. I dont understand it

Not a huge difference, but noticeable. It's a matter of choosing a setting and seeing how it handles, and then adjusting if need be. Maybe hit some turns really fast and see how it feels.

Thanks. Since i had the lowering done and the sway bar added at the same time I wasnt sure how much just the sway bar may have impacted the ride. It handles a lot better, but rides a lot rougher of course. I was just curious if/how much of my ride comfort I would get back if i have them switch it to the moderate selection.

If you are in the middle you are at moderate or medium setting. If you move it out it will loosen it.

You may need new bolts but I know there is pretty high torque for the top mounts so maybe they aren't torqued enough.

Thanks for all the help guys. I plan on having this thing for a while and not knowing a lot of the mechanical stuff leaves me nervous.

Convert, for now.

small
Doing my BT 2/4 and front and rear Hellwigs when I get back from out of state, easiest way on rear is to pull inner wheel well liner to get to shock bolts.

All good info here. I went all the way stiff with my rear sway and love if. Upgrading the front sway bar was night and day. And like previously mentioned, although it was a pain the the ass, remove the well lining. MUCH easier. Hope you get it figured out.

Been away a while and just getting back to getting the adjustments done. When you all say move to the outer hole I am guessing that this means the hole furthest to the rear bumper. correct?

The hole closest to the rear axle is the most aggressive (allows the least movement), the hole furthest from the axle is the least aggressive (allows the most movement).

Rob, I have my rear swaybar set on the softest setting which is the hole closest to the rear bumper. The ride quality is not bad at all with the 4" rear drop, so I would start there.
