Help 2014 front Differntial

Ok Team,


Here is what I have: 2014 Dodge Ram Express, Club Cab, 4X4 Hemi 5.7.

Problem: Front CV joint failed on (Passengers Side) damaging the differential stub shaft (App 10” Long)

Ordered new CV from Dodge, went to change it out and noticed the stub shaft end was all worn away. Looks like Dodge never put the o-ring and snap ring on that side. So went to Dodge dealer to get a new stub shaft for the (Passengers Side) Item # 4 on there screen. Dodge won’t sell just the stub shaft for the (Passengers side) only for the drivers side only. You must purchase the complete front differential in order to get the stub shaft for the (Passengers Side) $900.00 dollars.

Question: Does anyone know of a after market company that makes the stub shaft for the (Passengers Side)

Supposedly the pass side shaft isn't replacable on the ZF front diffs.I've never delved into that side,so can't confirm whether it's true or not though,only what I've heard through the grapevine.

If I cant find one, Im going to pull it out and buy the drivers side from Dodge $60.00. My buddy said he can take it into his machine shop and cut off the bad spline and weld on the new spline from the (Drivers Side) that I purchase from Dodge. If I can find a used one I have a machine shop make some and sell them.
