Dat Cummins!
Welcome!! Thank you for your service.

The bolt pattern for the RAM is 5 on 5.5
The lift for your truck calls for 4.5 of back spacing.
If it were me....I would find a 4.5 back spacing with a -24 offset. That will give you the look you want; also I would go with the 5 inch lift. If you go with the 3 inch lift you will hate it later. I think all the members on the forum will agree that you can never lift it to high!

Something you probably don't know is that these trucks are made with one piece hub bearings that use a polymer cage to hold the rollers. These cages wear quickly and even faster with high offset rims and large tires.

You'll want to run a proper 5 inch suspension and at least 4:10 gears, 4:56 gears are highly recommended if you application is slow speed off roading. Don't try to fool yourself, gearing is crucial to transmission life, gas mileage, and low/midrange power. Even 33x12.50 tires will benefit from lower gears. You can send your VIN into Chrysler and they can tell you what gears you have.

Return safe, son.

Hey man Semper Fi and be safe.

That being said I had my first Dodge as a 96 4x4 ext cab. I did not lift it. But I bought new Dayton Timberline 33" tires on Eagle Alloy 15 x 10 wheels. I don't know if 15's will work for you, but it's a lot cheaper on tires for that wheel. They stuck out really nicely and would easily coat the whole truck in mud. Loved it. Of course on the back glass I had a giant decal made that said Marine. Some people just strive for bigger things I guess. Haha. Totally kidding.
In all reality feel free to PM me and I'll give you my email address and phone and would be more than happy to help you out. We take care of our own.
