Bought an Alpine Radio. Got it all hooked up and the radio does not turn on. Thought maybe it was the radio so I took the hot wire, battery, and negative wires and put them directly on the battery and it came on instantly. Thought possibly it was the wire adapter so got a different one. Still doesn’t respond. I put the old uconnect 5.0 back in and it turns right on.

anyone have any idea what this could be?

Initial thought is you do not have the correct harness. What year is your truck? Also, what factory options do you have and what do you wish to retain?

Thought the same thing. First thing I tried was the axxess LC-CHRC-01 now I just tried the PAC RP4-CH21.

it’s a 2013. Just needing the steering wheel controls retained as this stereo has CarPlay and I’m running a usb to the back of it so I won’t need center console one.

Just not understanding why this one won’t work. Makes zero sense

So you have the Alpine system but without the 8" screen?

Actually I’m wrong. It’s not the alpine but I did originally try this hook up and no luck

Double check your power and ground connections. Does the halo 9 support idatalink?

I’ve checked. Looking at old forums I believe it might be the harness. Sounds like people have had problems with this one

I would call Crutchfield directly if you haven't already. When searching your setup it actually gives three harness options.

It was a blown fuse. That little booger under the hood all by itself
