Hey guys I'm pretty new here but I love reading about everybody's mods and nice trucks. This is my first truck and I just purchased new 20" rims and a 2.5" hbs leveling kit( not yet installed). I'm wondering if I can fit 37's on without lifting? Also what people's opinions on tires.. Nitto's or Mickey thompsons or toyo?

Any help and advice is awesome.. Also JJ I can't wait to save up enough to get some new headlights!

37's are going to rub with just a 2.5" level up front. The 35's are going to look perfect with that setup though. I have run Toyo's and they were a great tire for a mud terrain, but they were heavy. I have since switched to Nitto Terra Grapplers and have been much happier for my style of driving. Most of my offroad time is in soft sand, so the AT tire was much better for me.

Okay that's good to know I'll stick with 35's and save some money then.. I probably won't use my truck much for off road at all. But I still want a more aggressive looking tire. What kind of life span are you expecting out of your nitto's? I was looking at the trail grapplers though

Stick with 33s or 35s on a level...I'd do 33s for just a level but thats just me..nitto, toyo, and mickey are all good brands!

I am running D rated tires on my 2500 diesel, but still get about 50k miles out of a set. I have put 25k on my current set, and still have just over half tread left. I have not run the trail grapplers yet.

I just installed a 2.5 HBS leveling kit too...I think you will be fine with 35x12.50 as long as you have a rim with less backspace to bring the wheel/tire out. I have .25 inch spacers that I got from a member on here. Ill probably use those for some extra clearance with a 33x12.50 toyo open country mt with a 20x9 wheel with a 0 offset.

I'm running nitto terra grapplers too on a 2.5 level on my 08. Tires have been great. I have 42k on them right now, lookinh to get close to 50k out of them. At 30k they still had have tread left. I have been very happy with them.
