i purchased 16 ams lifters 4 mds plugs. Did a valve job and got everything freshener up. Has the stock cam. After 2 weeks of working on it every day after school I got it back together. I know what I’m doing but never have worked on a hemi. I got it running but it has a very rough idle and is hard to start. has anyone had this problem? I feel like I’m going to have to tear back into it again but there is no knocks or ticking in motor. Has misfire codes and vibrates a lot. Is there supposed to be 2 hoses coming off of brake booster. I only seen one but it has 2 nipples. Could it be computer or vaccum problem. I do not have a tuner

What all did you remove/change besides the lifters, pulled the solenoids and removed the heads? Timing chain? Anything else?

I did not touch the timing chain cover. Motor was really clean on inside all gold didn’t want to mess with it because it ran fine before just engine light was on bc of the sensors not working right

Ok, good. Check to make sure your pushrods are seated both in the lifter cup and the rocker arm properly. All it takes is the end of the pushrod to not be where it's supposed to be and it can screw everything up.

Okay sounds like that might be it but if not I was looking at the high dollar kits and they come with tuner and cam. Do you think that’s to reboot the computer. I do hear throttle body opening and closing when I turn key on. It’s acting real weird I don’t think it’s anything mechanical. I could find resistance for solenoids and put resistors in the harness to see if that’s the problem

If it was a failed solenoid you'd get a code for one. Default position for MDS is off so the solenoid would have to fail internally to not go back to default position and that would generate a fault. Rebooting the computer will not help and if the engine doesn't run correctly right now bone stock as is, why would you throw a cam in and make it worse lol? Fix the problem first before you worry about more fun parts. Make sure all the pushrods are seated and you have no vacuum leaks. If the pushrods are good, turn the engine over by hand (or pull the fuel pump fuse and have someone crank it with the starter) to verify everything is moving like it should be.

Where are all of the vacuum lines do you know. I have one spot on the brake booster that is open. I don’t see any line anywhere. There is 2 on the back of intake but that’s all I see. I don’t ever remember seeing one there. Which fuse is the fuel pump. I looked and looked in fuse box and not one said on there it was for fuel pump. Usually every vehicle has a fuse is it located somewhere else or is my fuse box lying to me? Thanks for your help by the way this is throwing me for a loop

No problem, go find the sticky that has all the service and parts manuals, 2007 isn't in there but 2006 is and vacuum lines will be pretty much identical.
