Hey guys- I need some help making a decision. I know this topic has been covered before and believe me, I think I've been though every topic on this forum trying to decide. I finally decided on what lift I want to run which is a Zone 6" (5" rear) with Bilsteins at 2.1. From what I have read, this should have me sitting level.

For tires, I cannot decide. I wanted to avoid 37s so I didn't take too big of a performance and mpg hit, but I don't want to be unhappy after spending $4k to get this lift/wheels/tires done either. Also, doing some calculations, the difference in effect gear ratios between 35s and 37s isn't much, so I would guess its the weight more than anything that causes the hit which is somewhat avoidable.

So my question- what size tires do you guys think would look best on this lift? I absolutely don't want them to look too small and have to get another set of tires. My decision would be between 325/60R20s for 35s, or if I go up to 37s I would look at 37x12.50x20 or 37x13.50x20. One other possiblity is Kuhmo makes a 355/60R20 (37x14) that isn't bad...would this be way too wide to run though? I don't want to do any trimming but I could probably throw on a 1.5" BL if needed ;) My plan is to get 20x10 wheels with a -12 to -24 offset.

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated! FYI I have an 8spd with 3.92 gears, and my truck is a total pavement princess and doesn't tow :)

I would go -12 and run 37x13.5

Total pavement princess? I'd go with a 35x12.5x20 AT tire... a little less noisy on the pavement, should last a lot longer than a MT, likely weigh a bit less and 35 vs 37 should be a bit better performance wise too...

When I lift my new one (likely 6"), I'll be doing 35's in the AT flavor for the reasons mentioned above... It will also be a total pavement queen... I may get an extra large grocery order some time and may have to drive over the odd curb... lol

I'd go 35x12.5's with -24 offset in your situation and a A/T tire. It'll give it a good stance and rubbing shouldn't be an issue at that height. Plus you'll keep some of your performance with that vs 37's.

I'm running 35 open country ATs on my truck. The guys at work give me **** saying it looks like I'm rolling around on donuts assholes. I am happy with how it looks. I may go up to 37s after these tires wear out but I want to regear first. If your unsure id find a tire shop that will mount a 35 and 37 for you, that way you can see how YOUR truck will look. Everyone's taste are different, but that's what I did when I stepped up to 35s especially because I wanted to make sure they would fit without spacers.

You can run a 20x10 w/ -24 offset. On 35" tires

get a light weight 37x13.5 would be my choice from what I've heard cooper stt's are the lightest and still work great but 35's would be fine if you went with a wider stance

The lightest 37 I'm aware of is Yokohama at 72lbs (12.5 width though).

Does anyone know if the 325/60R20 makes much of a difference in appearnce over a 35x12.50R20 tire since it is slightly bigger?

If you do not want 37's then cut your lift down to 4" with 3" springs. When I put my 4" on with bilsteins and tires it raised the front 8.5 inches and is still sitting with. 3/4 inch forward take. I think a 6" with 35"s would be too much. Check out my gallery there's a few pictures in there.

Not unlike you jsteinm1 if done a ton of Reading in the 4th Gen lifted catagory I have the 14 QC , I plan on a lift and tires when my stock tires wear out . I have 3.55 gears so I envy your 3.92s I'll be going 6" lift with 35s , I like the big tire look and not to much on 20" wheels so I plan on going with 17 or 18 " wheels with a mid to lightweight 35" tire , from what I've read the overall weight @ the Hub is detrimental to power & mpg lose and the wheel portion of the tire weighs more than the rubber , so downsizing the wheels diameter on the tire height of your choice ( from what I've read ) should lower your overall weight of your wheel and tire combination. .. thus allowing you to go up to 37s with less pwr & mpg loss for your princess or your queen.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think my mind is/was made up even before I posted this thread. This is the truck that probably ruined me for avoiding 37s, just love the look.

Amp tires seems to make one of the lightest tires at 78lbs which isn't terrible. We'll see how it goes :)
