I trying to decide if I should keep my 13 express. 3.55 gears. Should I keep this truck and put money into mods eg. Tq converter, tuner, complete new exhaust among a few other things. Or should I trade in for a 14 sport with 8 speed 3.92 and some more interior bells and whistles. If I trade in the mods will be slow, if I keep truck I have now I would be able to dump money into it on a regular basis. I'm torn. Lets hear some suggestions. :Good or Bad:

How much do you think you'll loose by trading in?

If its more than $5k, just supercharge your express!

Mods, no brainer. Would be cheaper to change gears and use the extra money to beef up the transmission. I bet it will be more then 4 grand hit especially when adding tax and lisc.

If you can find a GREAT deal it may be worth it. Incentives and rebates will help eat your loss but you may have to drop down in level of truck.

First year for the 8 speed tranny , I would give it a year or two so they can fix any bugs that come up. Never get the new technology. EX: 2013's and the radios.

Yes, 2013 radios, so true. I vote, mod the truck. Sell a 13 and they'll take you to the cleaners. Next time, be patient and buy exactly what you want. Most expensive mistake ever is NOT spending enough on your car/truck. Good luck!

Keep it, you trade it now, ecpecially as they are trying to get rid of 13s to sell 14s and they will **** you. I know those Sports are sweet, but not worth it in that position.

Patience--make what you have the ride you can live with and trade up after you've paid on it for a few more years.

What its going to come down to is how upside you are in the truck. Negative equity and financing extended warranties is what kills people. Also beware of financing practices. Most dealerships add 2 full points of interest to what you are actually approved for. So if you are paying 3.9% there is a good chance you were approved at 1.9% or 2.9%. If anyone would like more info on purchasing a car, I just go out of the business and have lots of insight.

i would mod your current one, and build it exactly how you want. it might come out cheaper modding your current one as opposed to getting all the options you want from the dealer on a new vehicle. heck, floor mats from the dealer are at an insane price.

sweet man. enjoy what you have. I just bought a new 2013 5.7, quad cab with the 8 speed, SLT long horn edition.

it's no 2014 R/T, but I'm stuck with it now!! LOL ..if there are issues with the 8 speed and other "new for 2013 items" hopefully in due time, they can be addressed. and, i NEEDED a quad cab. :)

Hope you're happy with the decision! Now let's see that mod signature grow! Haha

Did you actually sit down with a dealer to figure out the +/- side of trading in the 13? You never know until you ask...

Nah didn't even get to dealer. Wife and I talked it over. She said keep it and I could do what I want to it. Anything I would have purchased would have raised my payment and not left much for
Mods. So I'll take mods and were
