As some of you may know ive been having some problems with the dealers in my area with an exhaust mod. so today i decided to screw it. If any problems do occur ill just swap back to the stock exhaut:********: so to get down to the nitty gritty, Ive got my mind set on two cat-backs "Borla cat-back" & "Magnaflow Cat-back" both kits have 5 inch tips. Magnaflow is a 22inch long. my question is which system is louder and which one is more toned. Ive have the magnaflow systems on my past 2 chevys so i know what im getting into when it comes to that setup but what about the borla? any input would be great.

the 22" magnaflow imo isn't gong to be that loud. I have a 14" magnalfow and it sounds great without being too loud

I was looking into the same systems, I believe the Borla will be louder, because I called borla and they said its some where between S type (really loud) and a touring (moderate) and the magnaflow i ended up purchasing (because it was $500 less) is fairly quiet

I have the Borla Cat Back Exhaust system and i love it. one of my favorite mods to my truck besides the Bilstein 5100. Its expensive, but its all 304 SS and won't rust. it will last longer than you will have the truck. fits perfectly too, only took me 2 hours to take the old one off and put the new one on.
