Hello all,

So I'm looking for some new rear shocks and maybe some helpers for my
2008 ram 1500 hemi 5.7 4x4 with BSD 6" lift
Rear has 4" blocks running DuraTrac 325/60r20 on 20x10 rockstars.
Current
Rear
FOX 2.0
2008 Dodge Ram
(1500, 4WD, Mega cab, with rear 4" - 6" lift)
Part #: 985-24-024
Front
FOX 2.0 Performance Series Coil-Over IFP Shocks
Front Coil-Over Shocks
2008 Dodge Ram
(1500, 4WD, Quad cab, with front 0" - 2" lift)
Part #: 983-02-050

The rear shocks are to long and had to trim the mounts down.

These were all installed in 2017.

I also tow a 6000 pound TT and the back does sag quite a bit.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Not sure which shocks are better, and I am NOT a fan of using a lifted truck for towing. All that aside, I'd be using a weight distributing hitch with a 6000 lb trailer. A properly set up WD hitch will solve the sag issue for a few hundred bucks, and make travel trailer and truck combination handle much better.

I'm using the fastway e2 wd. I'm also not a fan of towing with the lifted truck but I'm stuck with it for now.

I'm going to add another washer and see if it helps.

I bet that is the problem. But you might need to add more than one. I found that adjusting the hitch with an unloaded trailer and bed didn't put nearly enough weight on it to properly adjust the hitch.

Go thru the adjustment process in the instructions, but do it with a full load. Measure the wheel well heights (front and rear) with the truck unloaded and without the trailer hitched. Then hitch up the trailer, fully loaded with propane, luggage and all the other crap ;-) we all normally carry back there when camping. Then load the stuff you normally carry in the truck bed when camping. A good RV shop will also add 200 lbs of sand to the back seat. So if you really want to go crazy, add the equivalent weight of the whatever goes in the back seat.... Then adjust the hitch and I bet your sag problem will be disappear.

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a try. I have 6 in there now and only 2 spare right now.

What do you all think about these Monroe Shocks & Struts Load Adjusting 58637 Shock Absorber?

Or
Bilstein B8 5100?

Thanks.
