Hi there!

I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic Express/Tradesman. I wanted to lift my truck without making permanent modifications incase it didn’t work out. I also wanted more ground clearance and the ability to fit larger tires on my truck.

The first lift kit I purchased was the Ready Lift 2.5” SST lift skit. SKU # 69-1036.
This kit did not lift the front end of my truck 2.5” and left my truck with a ton of rear rake. Also, with this kit installed, my truck drove terribly. The truck would wander when it hit bumps at highway speeds. So I gave up on that lift and purchased a second lift…

The second lift was a Rough Country 3” lift kit with the M1 Struts and M1 Rear shocks. SKU # 31240. This kit definitely gave the front of my truck a 3” lift, and left a perfect 1” of rear rake. The problem with this kit is that the truck drove even worse. I have severe bump steer when I hit bumps at highway speeds, it wanders when I switch lanes, and is just a rough ride in general. To make matters worse, the Dodge dealership that installed the lift kit said that my alignment after the lift was installed was out. Every adjustment maxed out and all out of spec. I’ve wasted too much money on two terrible lift kits, my time, and my truck that only has 28,000kms rides like garbage. Can someone please offer some insight or a solution to my lift problems?

Thanks so much in advance! Cheers!

Stop buying the cheapest possible kits. A good kit with good shocks an control arms and the works will be $2k at least. So far you've spent $2k on trash with more to do. For a highschooler that doesn't care, whatever. If you want a good ride, Carli looks to have some good options. Or of course as Nick as suggested above.

You dont have to go carli or thuren price point to get a good riding lift kit. Plenty of good options, but yea, gonna be a few grand give or take.

The big thing is, height. If you want any more than 2-2.5” of added height up front, you simply have to get a real kit that has drop brackets. The alignment will never come out good otherwise, and it will just ride like trash.

Rust Country is the biggest junk ever made dude. Sorry to tell you but thats your biggest problem.

A real lift kit is expensive for a reason. and even after that you need to upgrade all the other supporting parts.

Heck a good set of Core 4x4 UCAs are 1000$ Kenuckistan Pesos and you need those after a lift.

I must have 10k under my truck of upgrades. And I still break ****.
