Help please 2010 ram won't shift into drive

Hey so I just got the best deal in Canada and got a 2010 dodge ram for peanuts because he says won't shift into drive rest of the truck in fine its been really cold in northern ab so I just got this truck delivered tow truck to my heated garage was able to back the truck into garage drives fine in reverse and goes into neutral fine but when you try to move to drive its like the lever hits a wall and won't move out of neutral truck is thawing out right now in my shop any ideas were I should start guys?
Any help greatly apreaciated thx 2010 dodge ram 5.7 hem 4x4

Yeah, they don't have a cotter pin in the doohiky and the pin slipped out, if I am correct you will need to drop the transmsion to fix this. PM h395, he has info on this. Do not force it, will just break more ****. Good news, if you drop the transmsion, makes sure you do all of the upgrades!! Many things posted on those in syn thread last 100 pages or so.

Hopefully it aint this, but it is a known weakness. I bet the guy new it would be a costly fix, why you got it cheap. Thanks to h395, guess you dont need to remove tranny.

So it doesn't go into park either? My guess is shifter linkage, maybe pin fell out when it was in R.
